The new Cherriots.org is finally here and we’d like to introduce you to some of the great new features!
We did a lot of research into how you use our website when we designed this new site. The new Cherriots.org puts all of the information you need most right on the homepage. The Services, Maps, and Routes button shows you everything we offer, from local bus service to a list of every route we operate. You can also access the System Map, as well as get information on fares and passes without having to scroll far at all. Also on the homepage: the latest news to keep you up-to-date.
Our improved Trip Planner harnesses the power of Google Maps to help you find the best way to get where you’re going, whether you want to get there fast or just want the fewest number of transfers. After entering your location and destination, the Trip Planner sends you directly to Google Maps for directions using transit. While there, you can also explore other options like taking a later trip or walking more before riding the bus to get those steps in.
One of the coolest features on the new Cherriots.org is the interactive System Map. You can explore every route simply by hovering over the map with your mouse or tapping on a route directly. Select a route and you can view all of the stops on that route, right there on the map. Click or tap a stop to visit the stop page and see every departure from that stop throughout the day.
We’ve completely re-organized the site pages and created a “mega menu” to help you find anything you need quickly and easily. Each menu heading opens a window with page titles, icon, and descriptions to get you to the information you need. We’ve also added pages to help you with the Trip Planner, give safety tips for riding Cherriots, and help you find out everything happening at Cherriots in our new Online Newsroom.
