In the event of snow or ice, Cherriots buses may be on snow routes.
Below are tips for catching the bus during snow and ice and maps of the most commonly affected routes.

Helpful Tips
Conditions can change rapidly with snow and ice, so please check for the most up-to-date information before heading to your bus stop. Due to slower travel speeds under these conditions, your bus may also run behind schedule. Dress warmly in case your bus is running late.
Cherriots snow route information is also available by tuning in to a local Salem or Keizer radio station, such as KBZY 1490.
CherryLift buses will run during snowy and icy conditions, but some areas, particularly
hilly or hazardous
portions of south and west Salem,
simply can't be reached. To see if you are affected by this weather, call Triplink at 503-315-5544.

Snow Routes
Below are maps and descriptions of routes that are most commonly detoured during snowy and icy road conditions. To find out if your route is currently on a detour visit the Rider Alerts page. If your route is not listed on that page, your bus will run its normal route even in the snow and ice.
Regular routes and service will resume once conditions improve. Please check the Rider Alerts page frequently for updates.

Route 1 - South Commercial
No service to the Library/Civic Center while on snow route. Instead, the outbound bus will stop at Commercial @ Mission and the inbound bus will stop at Liberty @ Kearney.
Route 6 - 12 St/Battle Creek
The outbound bus does not travel on Pringle R./Battlecreek Rd. between Madrona and Boone. The bus uses Fairview Industrial Drive and Reed Rd. instead.
The bus does not travel on Boone Rd. or Reed Ln. The bus will, instead use
Kuebler to Barnes and loops on 10th and Baxter to reach the Wal-Mart on Commercial St.
The inbound bus travels on 12th St. to
Pringle Rd. The bus does not travel on Commercial St. past 12th St, or Madrona Ave. between Commercial and Pringle Rd.

Route 10 - Wallace Rd Loop
The bus only serves Wallace Rd. & Wallace Rd. Park & Ride. No service on River Bend Rd., Wintergreen, Brush College, Doaks Ferry, or Orchard Heights.

Route 12 - Edgewater Loop
The bus does not pull in to Kingwood West.

Route 14 - Cherry Ave/KROC Center Loop
The bus does not travel on Alder between Brooks and Verda Ln.
The bus turns from Alder onto Brooks St, to Thorman, to Dearborn and then back onto
Verda Ln and resumes regular route.
