Travel Training

Want to learn to ride Cherriots or CARTS buses but your disability makes it difficult for you to ride, read maps, schedules, plan your trips or identify your stop?

You can receive FREE travel training from Salem-Keizer Transit staff. They will plan your trip and ride with you to your destination.

What is Travel Training?

• Trip planning and route escorts
• Provides customized service for each person to successfully ride Cherriots and CARTS buses
• Designed for seniors and people with disabilities

• Seniors
• People with disabilities
• Senior centers or group homes for group training and presentations

What are the benefits of Travel Training?

• You have independence and flexibility to travel when and where you desire
• You don't have to preschedule rides
• Announcements are made at all major intersections and landmarks and can alert you to your stop
• You can become familiar with your route
