The Cherriots Board of Directors regular business meetings are held at 6:30 p.m. on the fourth Thursday of the month with the exception of November and December, when the meeting date conflicts with a holiday.
Board work sessions are typically held before regular business meetings at 5:30 p.m. Occasionally, a work session is not scheduled, so always check the calendar above for the latest information.
Regular business meetings and work sessions are held in the Senator Hearing Room at Courthouse Square, 555 Court Street NE in downtown Salem. For community members who have an interest in Cherriots and are not able to attend the meeting in person, the following options are available to watch the meeting:

The board provides public notice of the Board’s meetings, including the meeting’s time, date, and place. If you would like to be on the Board’s email distribution list for its meetings, please send your request to board@cherriots.org. Board members deliberate and make decisions at open, public meetings. Board members, however, can meet behind closed doors in non-public executive session when authorized. The Board keeps written records of its meetings, as required by public meeting laws.
At every regularly scheduled board meeting, the public is offered an opportunity to speak or provide testimony in person or via Zoom. There is a sign-up sheet that is available at the start of the meeting for you to provide your name and city of residence. If you wish to give testimony by Zoom, contact the Clerk of the Board to make arrangements in advance of the meeting at (503) 588-2424. Individual comments are limited to 2 to 3 minutes.
The board also welcomes written comments via email or regular mail submitted in advance of the board meeting. These comments will become part of the board record. The Board provides equal access to its meetings, as required by the ADA and Oregon Revised Statutes. Board meetings are in locations accessible to people who use wheelchairs and other mobility devices. Assistance is available for persons requiring meeting materials in alternative formats, sign language interpretation or other communication aids. Please contact Cherriots at least 48-hours in advance of the meeting to make arrangements. The Clerk of the Board can be reached from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at (503) 588-2424. For text telephone (TTY), call 711 for Oregon Relay Service.
Special meetings may be called by the Board with at least 24 hours notice. An emergency meeting, which is a rare occurrence, may be called with less than 24 hours notice. The Board holds an annual planning meeting, which is open to the public, at an off-site location.

Citizens Advisory Committee meetings are usually held at Courthouse Square in the Senator Hearing Room at 555 Court Street NE, Salem, Oregon 97301.
